AI findability

We make sure AI names you as the answer.

Afterwards you know whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI overviews mention your brand, why or why not, and what to do about it. Not an SEO report with new words on it. Work on the copy and code those systems cite from.

What you get

One overview of what AI says about you today, and the changes that shift that.

What is AI findability?

AI findability is the work of making sure AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI overviews mention your brand when someone asks a question you're the answer to. WIT.agency answers four questions for this: are you mentioned, is what's said accurate, is your information findable for those systems, and is it written to be citable. We test what the assistants say about you today, then work on your copy, your schema code, and your mentions elsewhere.

It's also called generative engine optimization, GEO, AI SEO or answer engine optimization. It differs from classic SEO: SEO gets you into a list of links, AI findability gets you inside the answer itself. Both are needed, but they ask different work: SEO optimises for rankings, AI findability for citations.

Marketing agency based in Belgium · Works locally, nationally and internationally · For businesses and for agencies

This is why they call us.

“I asked ChatGPT for agencies in our sector and we weren't on the list.”

More and more people start their search with an assistant instead of a list. If you're not in it, you don't exist there.

What we look at

Four questions. Four tests you can repeat yourself.

AI findability isn't a trick, it's a series of checks you repeat periodically. That's why we fix four questions, with how to test each one.

Mentioned

Do you show up in the answer?

We ask the assistants the questions your customers ask, in different phrasings, and note who gets mentioned and who doesn't. That's the baseline.

Accurate

Is what they say about you correct?

More often than you'd think, an assistant describes you with outdated or wrong information. Being mentioned wrongly is worse than not being mentioned.

Findable

Can those systems reach your information?

Allowing crawlers, correct schema code, an llms.txt, and text that is actually text in the code and not an image. Without this, nothing else happens.

Citable

Is your copy written so it can be picked up?

An assistant cites sentences that hold up on their own. A paragraph that needs the previous sentence to make sense gets skipped.

What it comes down to

From a page that ranks to a sentence that gets quoted.

What's there now

We have been your partner in total solutions for over twenty years. Discover below what we can do for you.

No assistant can cite this text, since it says nothing that stands on its own.

What's there afterwards

A brand audit is research into how strong and how consistent a brand comes across to the people who matter.

One sentence that holds up without context, with the entity in it. That's what the Findable and Citable questions deliver.

Illustrative example, not from an actual client.

The deliverable

Here's what it looks like when it's done.

One report on what AI says about you today, plus the changes that shift it.

  1. 01The baseline: what the assistants say about you today, verbatim
  2. 02Where the information is wrong or outdated, and where it comes from
  3. 03The technical check: crawlers, schema, llms.txt, text in code
  4. 04Which sentences need rewriting to be citable
  5. 05What needs to happen first, and what can wait

How it usually goes

A fixed way of working. No fixed package.

This is the usual sequence. Where we go deep and where we keep it short gets decided during intake.

01(together)

Intake

We ask the questions. Which questions do you want to be found for, and what should people definitely not read about you.

02(us)

Baseline

We ask the assistants your questions, in different phrasings, and record the answers as they stand today.

03(us)

Analysis

Technical check of your site, and a read of your copy for citability. Plus where you are mentioned elsewhere.

Walkthrough

We go through the report together, with the changes ranked by importance. We end with what needs to happen first.

Where it varies

If your technical side is already solid, the work goes mostly into copy. If you're not mentioned at all today, it starts with findability.

Where it never varies

We never promise a position in an AI answer. We always record the baseline, so you can compare later.

What it costs

No rate card. One number.

AI findability for a brand with one site and one market is a different job than for an organisation with several brands, languages and press mentions. That's why there's no fixed price tag.

What there is: once the approach is set, the number is fixed. No hourly billing, no extra costs halfway through.

What determines the scope

How many questions we test.

A handful of core questions, or a broad field with dozens of phrasings.

How big your site is.

A ten-page site, or an archive with hundreds of pieces.

How many languages or markets.

Each language is its own test, since the assistants answer differently per language.

One-time or repeated.

A baseline with changes, or a periodic re-measurement to track progress.

Honestly

Sometimes you need something else.

Your classic search traffic is the real problem.

Look at SEO

What AI says about you is accurate, but it's not interesting.

Look at Brand strategy

You mainly need content to be cited from.

Look at Content marketing strategy

You're looking for a report to justify a decision that's already made.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before they start.

What does AI findability cost?

There's no fixed rate, because scope varies by brand. Price depends on the number of questions we test, the size of your site, the number of languages, and whether you want a one-time or repeated measurement.

Is AI findability the same as SEO?

No. SEO gets you into a list of links, AI findability gets you inside the answer itself. There's overlap in the technical side, but the writing differs.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will mention us?

No, and anyone who promises that is selling smoke. Those systems can't be steered like an ad. What we do is meet every condition we know matters.

What if AI says wrong things about us today?

Then that's the first priority, since being mentioned wrongly is worse than not being mentioned. We trace where that information comes from.

How often does this need to be repeated?

The models and their sources keep changing, so a measurement from last year says little. We'd rather sell a baseline and let you decide when to look again.

Should we allow AI crawlers?

Usually yes, since blocked crawlers means you definitely won't be cited. There are reasons not to, for example with sensitive content.

Does this work if we have little content?

Partially. The technical side and mentions elsewhere can always be improved. But being cited ultimately requires having something to say.

What's the difference with a marketing audit?

A marketing audit looks at your channels and your budget. AI findability looks at one specific question: do you show up in AI answers, and is what's said accurate.

Know what AI says about you first. Then adjust.
